Arguments for Israel

-Israel is the "Promised Land" of the Old Testament, it belongs to the Jews and is their "divine right."

-Jews had settled in Israel thousands of years ago, much longer before any Palestinian had ever lived there.

-Many Jews never really left Israel by free will; they were forced out by the Romans in the Diaspora and deserve the right to return

-Jews have been through enough torment and prosecution, including the Holocaust. They deserve an identity and a safe homeland to live in

-The Palestinians are simply anti-semetic and discriminate against Jews; that is the only reason that they don't want Jews living there

Arguments for Palestine

-Palestinians have been living in Israel for a much longer time than Jews have lived there

-Jews were not the original peoples to live in Israel; they forced Canaanites out that had previously been living there, therefore it is not truly their land

-Palestinians have already established permanent settlements in Israel; they should not have Jews buying out their land that they have lived in for centuries

-Jews threaten the establishment of a peaceful Palestinian state and compromise their safety, therefore they should not live near them

-The IDF is brutal towards Palestinians and the Israeli government and police is corrupt; they should not live here if they are so brutal
